I don’t often do travel posts but once in a blue moon I feel so inspired by a gorgeous location that I have to share with you so you can visit too. Last week I was fortunate to have a day off to visit Filoli, a historic country mansion set on 16 acres of beautiful gardens located in Woodside, California. The day I visited, the tulips, camellias, azaleas, and daffodils were all blooming like crazy all over the gardens! Everywhere I looked, it was a picture perfect setting. Matt and I even had a chance to do a pseudo-photoshoot (brought back memories of our engagement shoot nearly a year and a half ago!). Hope you have a chance to visit this Spring when all the flowers are in full bloom, and don’t forget to peek in the mansion to get a glimpse into opulent living in the 1900’s.

Great post! I love your outfit and hair. I’m planning a trip to Filoli for Mother’s Day, and I was looking for some outfit inspiration! Would you advise against wearing heels or platform wedges? The plan is to walk around the gardens in the morning and then have some lunch.
