Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We had a day filled with NYTimes inspired cooking, tons of stuffing our faces, and then eating more dessert than we thought possible. I’m not around kids often but this week I’ve been fortunate to spend everyday with my little nieces. If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram story you’ve been seeing them on your phone screens a ton too! They are just so freaking cute, I can’t handle it. We’ve been playing a lot of tag, sardines, hide and go seek, working on art projects, and reading. It’s a little peek into what being a Mom would be like one day…except for now I still get to be just the fun aunt with no responsibilities or real need to be bad cop
I’ve been doing a bit more shopping in my spare time, and wanted to share with you some more items I’ve been looking at or ordered to try on at home:
Cozy and Warm
I’ve been trying to up my sweater game this season, and in my constant attempt to get away with wearing leggings instead of real pants (you know what I’m talking about!), I’ve been looking for good tunics and long sweaters. I came across a few cute ones, linked below, which are clinic appropriate too. Last week while shopping the Union Square outdoor Christmas markets I was so cold my fingers and toes went completely numb. That experience prompted me to pull the trigger on several cute V-neck and crew neck cashmere sweaters, marked down over $40 to a final price of $55.91. Cashmere sweaters are so warm that you can layer a thinner jacket over them, and I am already foreseeing these on heavy rotation when the temps drop to the teens in January.
Stylish and Functional
I’m also obsessed with booties and boots for clinic; they provide warmth and are comfortable enough to walk around all day in the hospital and clinics. I’ve been looking to add black suede booties and chestnut/cognac booties to my collection. I was able to find a beautiful black bootie in the Sam Edelman Blake bootie; sadly all the chestnut booties I liked were sold out in size 5/5.5. If you find one you like, please let me know! I also ordered the BP Trolley bootie (>1000 reviews and nearly 5 stars…incredible) in gray leather. If you’re looking for a good everyday bootie that you can walk around in I highly recommend the Tom’s desert wedge. A few colleagues and I own this pair in the same taupe color and we love them for work and play.
Blank NYC Faux Leather Jacket in XS (petite friendly)
ASOS blanket scarf in Plaid (old, this season’s here)
Also, Nordstrom is price matching for all Stuart Weitzman boots, including the ever popular 5050 over the knee, Lowland, and Highland boots. I bought my Stuart Weitzman OTK boots years ago and they’re one of my most beloved pairs of boots. With a low heel, they’re so easy to walk in, and they fit narrow calves like a glove. I highly recommend if you’ve been looking to purchase one of these, because right now you can save over $150 (20%)!
Also if you missed it in my last post:
Classy and Timeless
Now through Sunday you get 20% off your purchase of $200 or more at Bloomingdale’s! This deal actually includes the classic Burberry trenches which NEVER go on sale so if you’ve been eying one here is your chance to get it for $350-$400 off. I bought the Sandringham earlier this year and I LOVE it and wear it every chance I get.
Enjoy! Hope you’re all getting yourselves some presents for all the hard work you do

Hi, Joyce! I’m a rad onc resident in Brooklyn and love your blog and IG! I’m also petite with small feet and bought my very first pair of booties a couple of weeks ago at Nordstrom’s. These are so warm (lined inside), waterproof and so comfortable! I got the one in mushroom but am thinking about getting other ones. I have the 5.5, which is the smallest size. It’s the best purchase I’ve made this year!

Hi Anna, thanks so much for your comment! I love those booties and hearing that they’re petite friendly makes them that much better. Enjoy!
