Words to Live By

There has been a lot of buildup towards this day, the day I enter a new decade and finally feel like an “adult.” I saw this posted online and wanted to share it with all of you because it really spoke to me, and it’s the one thing I really needed to see today.  With social media it is hard not to compare yourself to your peers. It seems like people are always traveling, buying nice things, living happy easy lives. But there will always be someone richer, prettier, someone smarter or more successful, and if you’re always judging your own life by comparing with others, then you’ll never be happy. Set your own standards! 

Today, as I am looking forward to more exciting things to come in career and family life, I appreciate this great reminder for me to not lose perspective of what’s important.
