Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 has begun, and I have to share with you guys, this is one of my favorite sales of the year!

In the Office

This Halogen pleat front top is cute and clinic appropriate, with a mock neck and back buttons; so is this J Crew ruffle neck top which can be paired with pants or a skirt suit.

I’m always cold in the hospital (why do they blast the AC?) so a cute wool cardigan like this one comes in handy. It comes in 9 colors; I personally love the mustard yellow and or the green gable color. If you’re not into short fitted cardigans there’s also this highly rated super comfortable circle cardigan that comes in gray, blue, and stone.

If you like to wear skirt suits or suit pants to the office, Halogen has a great straight leg cut suit pant in regular and petite lengths for under $50. For any medical students out there who are looking to interview in the fall, this could be a great suit pant to add to your interview attire! Off Duty

Off the shoulder dresses and cold shoulder tops are still in, and there are a couple cute ones included in the sale! This Cupcakes and Cashmere off the shoulder dress is a fun flirty little crepe dress with pockets which I love.

I’m also obsessed with rompers (even though they are kind of awkward to remove in the bathroom) and this romantic plunging lace romper is absolutely gorgeous in ivory, dusty blue, and mustard yellow. The sheer back also gives it a little bit of a sexier edge to a classic lace romper. I purchased the dusty blue one to try on, so will keep you posted!

A classic fitted denim shirt is another closet staple and the Caslon long sleeve denim shirt is now available in XXS Petite sizing.

Thinking Ahead

It’s hard for me to think ahead to fall/winter clothing in this 90 degree sweltering NYC summer heat, but I wanted to point out a couple stand out items. First, my trusty BlankNYC faux leather jacket which runs small is now back on sale again for $65, and it is available in blush and taupe. I personally love the taupe color and think it would pair well with anything. I purchased it in size XS and the sleeves are fitted enough that you could wear a thin sweater underneath but nothing bulky.

The same brand also makes a leather jacket with embroidered roses with textural studs, making for a rocker chic bad girl look. I think this would be a fun twist on your classic black leather jacket.

I’m also eying this light blue wool blend jacket from Diane von Furstenberg; I like the boxy cut but I’m not sure if it’ll be too large for the more petite ladies.

Kicks

I love the Tory Burch Claire ballerina flat in gold, and it’s 40% off right now as part of the sale! The Ted Baker sandals in floral print are also adorable, and this type of heel typically tends to be more comfortable, in my experience.

Right at Home

I’ve been in a decorating frenzy the entire last month and it has finally started calming down as I’ve slowly curated items for our home. There are actually quite a few nice pieces on sale for affordable prices as part of this anni sale. I’m especially impressed by the rolling bar cart which has mirrored trays; I’m still putting together my own bar cart blogpost but I have to say, a nicely decorated bar cart really gives the apartment that extra oomph!

As you can tell, I’m a big fan of gold and white, so all my picks fall within my own home theme!
