Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Skincare and Beauty Picks

The Nordstrom anniversary sale is now open to ALL comers, not just cardholders! I realized I neglected a whole section in my last post highlighting my picks, so today I want to focus on my personal loves, beauty and skincare.

Beauty

I never go anywhere without my fresh sugar lip treatments! I have two in my bag at all times, the fresh sugar rose tinted lip treatment (sheer with a touch of pink and perfect for clinic) and the fresh sugar honey tinted lip treatment for when I want a darker more sophisticated color. Right now the advanced therapy and the rose tinted therapy sticks are on sale – 2 for the price of 1! I’ve tried the advanced therapy before and it leaves your lips soft and smooth; then, layer on the rose tint with SPF 15 and you’re ready to take on the day.

Skincare

I’ve written about my Clarisonic Mia 2 before here, which I love, and I tend to purchase the brush heads for sensitive skin to prevent redness and irritation. I use this about 1-2 times per week, less in the winter, as it is a more in depth cleansing tool.

I also included in my picks some great sets and tools for removing makeup, including stubborn eye and lip makeup. Check out my post on the smart girl’s guide to removing makeup here!

I’ve had a long love affair with fresh skincare, and this set is an awesome deal. I personally use the fresh soy face cleanser daily in the shower, which helps to gently remove makeup while still hydrating my skin (see my routine here and the steps to building your routine here). I also have used the black tea eye cream when I travel and I love it.

 I also wanted to do a quick review of the Socialite plunging lace romper from my last post. I purchased it in dusty blue in XS and the fabric is truly as beautiful and feminine as it looks online. The fit needs some adjustment though. The waist is quite tight and the top is a little loose. I had to suture the neckline a few inches because it was way too low and resulted in a lot of fabric bunching in odd ways. I love the sheer back and the romantic design, so with my minor alteration, it’s a keeper! It has been out of stock sometimes when I check but it periodically becomes available in select sizes and colors. The white would be a beautiful bridal outfit for a photo shoot or shower!
