Adrianna Papell cap sleeve sequined gown (2P)
This past weekend I attended my cousin’s beautiful wedding in Pleasanton at Casa Real in Ruby Hill Winery, and I chose to rewear one of my bridesmaid gowns. My stylish friend Jaimie chose floor length sequined wedding gowns for all of her bridesmaids in her black-tie wedding a few years back. This gown was the one she chose for me. I loved it so much that I have continued to wear it even after the wedding! I’ve worn it to at least two other weddings and I’ve received many compliments each time.
If I could give future brides any wedding planning advice, it would be to choose bridesmaid dresses that your gals would love to wear even after the wedding. If you think about it, normal bridesmaid dresses cost around $200, because everything labeled “wedding” is automatically marked up insanely high. For that same price, you can buy a really fancy gown that doesn’t look so bridesmaid-y. Obviously this is all up to the bride’s aesthetic and vision for the wedding, but these are just my two cents.
My friend Jaimie was very thoughtful and did a lot of price comparisons throughout the major vendors, including Saks, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Macy’s, and more, that all carry the same dresses. She was able to help us secure the best deals, and the dresses came together beautifully for her big day.
A year later when I was watching Pretty Little Liars, I found one of the main characters in the exact same gown, in silver!

You look absolutely stunning in the dress! I remember my cousins wedding they had all the bridesmaid all wear black dresses, but in whatever style they wanted. Much more affordable and practical I think.
