We made a little trip out to Maui (see my previous travel guide for Maui here) for my college roommate’s wedding in September, and we happened to take advantage of the setting to do a little maternity shoot with the amazing Jess. I wanted to share some of these photographs because the setting was stunning, and the sunset was captured oh so perfectly by our talented photographer. If you’re ever in Maui and looking for a little photo session (whether it’s a family or maternity shoot), I highly recommend Jess!

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Wailea for our baby moon. This was definitely a splurge choice for us, but because it was our last real vacation for what I imagine a very long time, we wanted to make the most of it. I was really impressed by how family friendly this place is; there is on site child care, tons of family and kid friendly dining options and pools, and a rec room and even a video game room for families to hang out. The setting is also PERFECT for a maternity shoot; there is a paved path that you can walk along the water without getting your feet dirty and there are so many cozy little spots that make for a great maternity shoot backdrop. I can’t wait to come back with our baby in the future!

Thank you to Swimzip for our matching palm leaf swim set! As you know, I’m all about the sun protection. I currently don’t fit into the rash guards because of my growing belly, but M LOVED his long sleeve rash guard which kept him protected from the UVA/UVB rays. We even got a little rash guard for our little baby. Can’t wait to see him in it splashing around the pool!

Our friend gifted us these Air Jordans for Dotori; her kids had grown out of them quickly and I know they’re impractical, but they’re so DARN CUTE! I am such a sucker for baby clothing and baby shoes. They look like doll clothing!

Feeling so blessed to have spent this babymoon in Maui! I know that the time I have with M as just the two of us is limited, so I really cherish these quiet moments before baby Dotori arrives.
Did you do a maternity shoot or a babymoon before you had kids? Where did you go?
Stunning pictures indeed! You’ve got cute dimples, too! I adore you and your family. Never been to Maui but I’ll keep this in mind.
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! ^_^
Thank you so much! I highly recommend a visit
