I have been testing out the Babyzen Yo-yo2 stroller which was generously sent to me to review, as well as some accessories including the sun umbrella and cup holder. It is my new go to stroller that stays in my car trunk so we can use it whenever we are out of the house!
There are a few differences between this babyzen Yoyo2 stroller and my Uppababy Cruz, the main one being the weight. The babyzen yoyo2 is only 13.6 pounds all inclusive, whereas the Uppababy Cruz is 21.5 pounds (frame 15 lbs and seat 6.5 lbs). The lightweight babyzen yoyo2 is much much easier for me to lift in and out of the car, and when it’s safe for air travel again, I know the babyzen yoyo2 will be my choice to carry onto the plane (it fits in the overhead bins!)
Some other things I love about the babyzen yoyo2:
– there is a shoulder strap for easy carrying when it is folded up
– there is a UPF50 parasol accessory for improved sun protection
– the color packs are easily exchangeable so if you want to change things up you can switch out for a different color
– all 4 wheels have individual suspension and it is SO easy to maneuver any type of road, whether it’s concrete, grass, or dirt. The wheels look small but they handle and turn so well. They remind me of the first time I upgraded to a Samsonite luggage and was amazed by the easy handing and turning.
A few things to note:
– it took me a while to learn how to fold and unfold the babyzen yoyo2 stroller; you’ll need to watch some YouTube videos!
– the seat has multi position recline, but my baby tends to like to sit super upright. The babyzen yoyo2 doesn’t go all the way upright so I find that Dotori likes to lift his head forward.
– the under carriage storage space is quite small; we need to use a smaller diaper bag or just carry our larger diaper backpack. I’ve heard of people using storage hooks to maximize the space with the babyzen yoyo2; I may need to do this!
All in all I’m super happy with this lightweight high quality stroller and it lives up to the hype! I’m mainly planning on using the Babyzen Yoyo2 when I’m out on trips, running errands or on the road. If Dotori will be sitting in his stroller for a long time (hours, like on a long hike), then I still opt for the Uppababy Cruz for the larger storage space and more upright incline which my baby prefers.
Thank you to Babyzen Yoyo2 for providing the stroller and accessories for me to review!
