I haven’t done a sale roundup in a while, but with all the crazy deals going on this year, I felt like I had to spread some cheer for Black Friday 2020! Here are some of the items I’ve been restocking on.
Updated: More items are available now since it’s actually Black Friday 🙂 Updating my post here with a few more of my picks! Happy shopping
J.Crew
50% off your purchase with code FRIDAY and an extra 60% off of sale items mean major discounts. Lots of classic layering pieces for sale as well as work appropriate attire.
- Silk blend shoulder button sweater: comes in an eye catching yellow, navy, neutral taupe, and black. This is great for work or home lounging, a classic staple. I picked this up in neutral.
- Petite Daphne Topcoat: made in warm Italian boiled wool, this coat is on sale in a bright beautiful coral color and a pretty lavender. I ordered it in petite 00 since it had good reviews for a good fit. Marked down from $228 to $73!
- Embroidered flutter sleeve: this top is so pretty! Great for a date night dressed up with jewelry or a brunch out with the girls. I mean, we can all dream of doing these things again post-COVID right? Originally $128 marked down to $24
- Regent blazer in 4 way stretch: I have a few J.Crew blazers and they fit like a dream. This bright rose color is so gorgeous!
- Flutter sleeve top: The ruffle neck and lace trim remind me of the holidays, and the flutter sleeves are cute and flirty.
- Classic block print tiered dress: Love the red with blue contrast and the print is so fun. I picked this up in 00. I don’t know how long it’ll be on me since I’m petite, so I think this will hit more mid-shin rather than below the knee.
- Belted cotton poplin tunic in stripe: I’m a sucker for stripe dresses and I love how flattering this fit looks. Tight at the waist with cute detailing at the sleeves and the hem of the tunic. Ordered this for myself as well!
Dermstore
Save up to 30% with code SHARETHELOVE. LOTS of my favorite items and holy grail skincare products are on sale! While you’re at it, check out some of my favorite skincare products here.
- Revision C+ Correcting Complex: This is a 30% tetrahexyldecyl (THD) ascorbate serum that I have been LOVING. The THD form is lipid soluble meaning it can penetrate the skin more easily, and I get zero irritation from it. Use it every morning.
- Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid: Great salicylic acid toner for unclogging pores, especially good for those with acne prone or oily skin.
- Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield with SPF 50: One of my absolute holy grail sunscreens. Goes on with a universal tint, non-greasy, and leaves my skin with a beautiful glowing finish. This is a great time to stock up on this!
- CosRx pimple patch: I’m a fan of these hydrocolloid patches; you pop one on before bedtime and it helps to dry out your pimple overnight.
- Colorescience All calm clinical redness corrector SPF 50: I tried this back in NYC when my skin was so red and angry from the humidity, and this worked wonders. This is a sunscreen/foundation (in my mind) which has medium coverage. It does have a thicker consistency, but it completely covers up any redness. Great for rosacea prone, acne prone skin.
- Colorescience Brush on Sunscreen SPF 50: LOVE these sunscreen powders for easy sun protection and reapplication on top of makeup throughout the day. I always keep one in my purse and one in my car. Comes in 4 different colors for shade matching.
- bareMinerals original loose mineral foundation: holy grail powder with only 5 ingredients! This powder goes on so smooth, not cakey at all, and transforms into a luminous finish. I am always amazed at how fast I can put it on – swirl the powder into the cap, tap with the brush, and buff onto the skin. I can finish my foundation in less than 2 minutes! I cannot say enough about how incredible this product is. I’m shade medium beige 12.
- bareMinerals complexion rescue tinted moisturizer SPF 30: Another product I absolutely love on days that I am in a hurry and want to use a multitasking product that 1) hydrates 2) provides coverage and 3) protects my skin from UV rays! This gel creme also provides a dewy finish that glows.
Baby Gear / Pumping Gear
I wrote a detailed review of all of Dotori’s baby gear here, and quite a few of the items are on sale! I am also taking advantage of the sales to buy a few items that he’ll need in the upcoming months, including a larger car seat and larger clothing.
- Nanit Plus Smart Baby Monitor: I rely on this monitor every single day, and I love watching the night’s highlights and day highlights as the app will play just the snippets of your baby’s night or day where movement or sound are detected. The app tracks your baby’s position in the crib, when they fall asleep, when they wake up, and even gives you sleep tips based on your baby’s sleep patterns. It is 20% off on Amazon right now!
- Avent Newborn Baby Bottle Starter Kit: We tried a variety of bottles including Dr. Brown, Comotomo, and Avent, and I ended up liking Avent the best. The markings are clear and easy to read, the bottles come in 2 sizes, and this starter kit makes it all easy (multiple nipple sizes, a pacifier as well, bottle brush)
- Ergobaby 360 all position carrier with lumbar support: This is an awesome baby carrier where you can carry your baby literally any which way, and it even provides back support. I can’t stress how important it is to have lumbar support when you’re doing heavy lifting everyday!
- Elvie silent wearable double breastpump: This . is. a lifesaver. I credit my Elvies with helping me reach my breastfeeding goals. I could never pump at the office without them! Read my full review and post here.
Women’s Clothing / Shoes
Given how this year has been, I wear either scrubs to clinic or loungewear at home. Not going to lie – I kind of miss wearing normal clothes and wearing non sneaker shoes. Sharing a few picks including some splurge items
- AllSaints Balfern Leather Jacket: I was going to buy this LAST YEAR during Black Friday and I even dragged my postpartum self out of bed to go try it on at Bloomingdales. Then I realized I didn’t fit my usual size because I was 3 weeks postpartum…so I held off. And the jacket NEVER WENT ON SALE AGAIN. I’ve been waiting an entire year! This is the most popular bestselling jacket and the classic black is never marked down. Right now it’s 30% off at Bloomingdales and allsaints.com. Love the belt detail and zip sleeves! Allsaints jackets have the most buttery soft leather and are so durable, made with high quality craftsmanship.
- Stuart Weitzman Gillian Suede Knee-High Boots: I already have two pairs of black Stuart Weitzman OTK boots (both surprise finds at majorly discounted prices at outlets) but I’m seriously tempted by this deal. Take an additional 50% off an already discounted classic suede pair and you can get these beautiful boots for less than $300. SW are my favorite OTK boot brand because of the elastic back panel and sleek overall fit. The same pair is also available in all sizes for the same price in leather.
