Click here for Dr. Park’s Media CV
Dr. Park’s interest in medical journalism stems from a year off she took during medical school at Stanford. The Stanford Global Health Media Fellowship was being offered for the first time in 2011, and she was interested in how she could blend her love for writing and content creation with her passion in medicine. During her fellowship year she worked at WHO headquarters in Geneva, writing and communicating to journalists about global health (specifically chronic diseases), took video and print journalism classes at Stanford, and joined the medical unit at NBC News in NYC with Dr. Nancy Snyderman, the medical correspondent for NBC at the time. Dr. Park also started blogging and experimenting with social media that year. Fast forward almost a decade later, and she only continues to appreciate how different forms of media can be used to educate about medicine and skin health!
Now Dr. Park creates educational content about skincare, beauty, and juggling life as a practicing board-certified dermatologist with a private practice and new mom. You can find her on your platform of choice, be it Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, or even Tik Tok where she entertains an audience of over 700,000 around the world.
As a highly sought after skincare and beauty expert, Dr. Park is a frequent contributor to media outlets, having been featured in Allure, Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Forbes, Buzzfeed, Time, Huffington Post, Refinery 29, and more (here is the full list of articles featuring Dr. Park!). She was one of the expert judges in the Self Healthy Beauty Awards for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Previously, she also served as the bareMinerals Global Dermatology Ambassador from 2020 to 2022.
